Wang Weiping is a ‘Provincial Level’ artist in contemporary porcelain art from Jingdezhen, Jiangxi Provence, China. He was born in Jingdezhen in 1973. He graduated from from the Jingdezhen Ceramic Staff University in Jingdezhen. He was on the staff of the Jingdezhen Ceramic Research Institute. He iwas a student of ‘Country Level’ artists Liu Yuanchang and Xiong Gangru.
He is accomplished in flowers, birds and figures. Also, he is excellent at over glaze and combine decoration. His design are exquisite. His colors are strong and robust. His works are full of power and grandeur. Many of his works were exhibited through out China. Wang Weiping has won the awards for his works, such as “The Carouse”, “Leisure”, “Birds in the Forest”, “Han Dynasty Story — Xi Chu Yang Guan”, ‘Circulatory Memories”.
His blue & white ‘Doucai’ plate with contrasting colors glaze “Guo Se Tian Xiang” is on display at the Ministry of Foreign Affair special government office in Hong Kong. The very large vase, ‘Edify Illustrate’ was selected as the theme at the Jiangxi Porcelain Department of the Gardening and International Fair in Kunming, Yunan, China. Many of his works were published by the “China Ceramics Comprehensive Collection”, “China Fine Arts Collection”, “China Country Level Crafts & Arts Artists Fine Arts Collection” and ‘The Marrow Collection of the World of Ceramics Artists”.
