Ning Qinzheng is a leading ‘Country Level’ artist in contemporary porcelains from Jingdezhen City, Jiangxi Provence, China. ‘Country Level’ is the highest level an artist can attain in China. He was born in Jingdezhen in August, 1957. He is a graduate of the Ceramic Institutes of Jingdezhen in 1984. He specializes in mat glaze. His works consists of mountain water scenes and flowers and birds. He is also very accomplished in high temperature glaze and blue & white brush-decoration under glaze.
Many of his works are exhibited through out China and overseas. He has won high honors in many exhibitions and competitions. More than 20 pieces of his works are in museum collections in China and Oversea. Over 100 pieces of his works were published in China Crafts & Arts Museum Collections, Jingdezhen Ceramic Fine Art Appreciation and the Forth Asian Crafts & Arts Collection.
The mat color over glaze “The Plum Blossom”, “Salmonoid fish”, “Clear Autumn Air”, and the “The Intoxicated Falls” are considered his best representative works. Of his blue & white combined decoration porcelains, “Dragon & Phoenix Brings Prosperity” is a representation of his mastery. ‘Qinzheng Ning porcelain art collection was published jointly by the People Art Publishing Company and Liao Ning Art Publishing Company. Many of Qinzheng Ning’s finest works were selected for the Jindenzheng Ceramic Arts publication.
